Chapter 4: My Mother Teaches Me Bullfighting
In the previous chapter we realize, along with Percy, that there are some really important details about his life that Percy doesn't know...including the small detail that there have been numerous attemps on his life! Percy flees from the beach cottage with his mom and Grover, and they are being chased by some new and evil demon!

If I was to give Percy Jackson an advice I will tell him what his mother told him that she kept the father in her hart and he will never forget him and I will give him that advice to keep his mom in his hart and never forget him and to always keep his mom in his hart and to still love her.
In chapter 3, Percy herd Grover curse in ancient Greek and something is coming after Percy. Percy thinks Grover is not telling the truth about his father and what’s after him. In chapter 4, his mom died and Percy was devastated after her death. Percy should go on without his mom because, sooner or later he will have to grow old for his mom so he just have to let her go. Percy thinks that those three ladies will try to kill him like Ms. Dodds tried to kill him first. At first, Percy didn’t know what was going on but now he was kind of close to know what was happening.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that might have coming after Percy would might have been the minitar because it hade horns and also my be some body wanted to kill Percy because my be the old lady with the thing was going to cut the string to kill Percy but my be they cut the string for Percy but it went to the mother and she died and I think that Ms. Dodds was a beast that some one sent to kill Percy so my be that’s what was going on in the book
ReplyDeleteThe thing that is after Percy Jackson is some make believe monster that is incredibly strong and weird looking. And he was the son of Pasiphae. I think the ladies that were knitting wanted to kill Percy Jackson because they were probably after him for the same reason Pasiphae’s son wanted to kill him. I think Mrs.Dodds was really a monster disguised as a human being so she can get close enough so she can kill him.

ReplyDeleteIn chapter 3 Percy is being chased by alot of things that wants to kill him and after he witnesses his mother dying he snaps and finds newfound strenght he defeats one of the things that was coming after him if I were to give him advice I'd tell him to never forget bout his mother and do what ever he can to go on.

The mother is always going to keep Percy Jackson in her heart and so will Percy.
Percy is doing the thing because he is saving someone that he loves and that it is his favorite friend instead of his mother.
He should of picked his mother to save but the mother will never forget after he tried to safe his mother life and his for he.
Percy should know he did the right thing and that his mother will never forget him for what he tried to do to safe his friends and family and it was a perfect thing.
I think that the thing after Percy is a wolf with goat legs and he has horns. I thing is a wolf & goat & it has so scary Horns. I don’t really know why the old ladies wanted to kill Percy but I believe they wanted to Percy because they didn’t like him. I also think they wanted to kill him because he knew about Grover and Ms. Dodd’s. I think that Ms. Dodd’s is a wolf too. But I also think that she is a owl and eagle. The advice that I would give is too feel strong and for Percy not to go back home because he might cause trouble with gabe and they will probably kill him if he try’s to escape.

ReplyDeleteAfter Percy is a demon a really pacific demon its Pasiphae’s son he wants to kill Percy because everyone is saying that “HE’S THE ONE” but Percy has no idea what they mean by that. I think the old knitting ladies wanted to kill Percy because he was the one with all the power so they wanted to kill them so they can have all of his power. I think Ms.Dodds was one of the demons that wanted to kill Percy like the old knitting ladies and Pasiphae’s son. The advice I would give Percy is that even if your mom is she will always be with you in your hear so don’t give up and I want to say is to keep trying if you keep trying you will get to that point when you will be the ruler and things will be normal again so don’t give up no matter what.

ReplyDeletePercy went through a lot in his life I would definetly give him some advice due to his mothers loss. The advice that I would give him is just to make sure that you make the right choices, she is in a good place, and don’t ever forget that she is going to be in your heart. The worst part about it is that he seen how it happened. Its ok you can cry let everything out but one day you are going to grow up to be a great man. And nobody is going to tell you what to do. Just be strong and don’t get frustrated with Gabe.
Percy, Grover, and Percy’s mom were all driving in Gabe car when a horrible demon came after them. The thing was 7ft tall and stood up on it’s hind legs, it was Pasiphae’s son and it wanted to kill Percy. I think the three old ladies knitting the socks wanted to kill Percy because he is someone important. Grover said, “Those weren’t old ladies, those were the Fates. Do you know what that means the fact they appeared in front of you? They only do that when you’re about to…when someone’s about to die.” So I think Grover didn’t make a mistake by saying you at first, I think the Fates told Percy he was about to die.

In the book, Percy and Grover’s conversation went like this “So you admit there was a Mrs.Dodds!” said Percy. “Of course.” Said Grover. “Then why…” said Percy. “The less you knew, the fewer monsters you’d attract,” said Grover. I think that means that Mrs.Dodds was a monster and that she was at Yancy Academy because Percy was there. The advice I would give to Percy because he lost his mother is don’t let hold on to the past to long or it will make you feel worse. I would also tell him don’t give up and be strong.
It think what is after Percy is a monster. It think that Ms.Dodds is the monster. Because he is all ways talking bad about him so I think that Ms.Dodds is the monster.

ReplyDeleteIn chapter 4 was nice because his mom die by a Pasiphae son. Pasiphae son the most powerful name in the word. If I saw a pasiphea I would act like am-died pasiphea why because if he small me eat is going to eat me and put me by is neck and I will got tried. Yesterday when we were reading this chapter everyone were laughing and crying because this chapter was sad and funny
THERR :Percy Jackson has a very wonderful relationship with his mother. They talk about everything that happened to one and other while they were away from each other. They go on trips and thy share stories and very time Percy comes back from Yancy Academy she brings him candy from her job hat she work in. His mother explains to her why he has to go away and why his father wants him to go on a summer camp and why all of those strange this are happending to him.
ReplyDeletePercy feel very angry about his stepfather Gabe Ugliano because every time Percy comes back from his school he don’t bother to say welcome home or something like that. Gabe always wants to to take the money from him and even if Percy says he don’t have money he could smell it and would tell Percy to give it to him and that’s why Percy sometimes feels angry about Gabe.Also Gabe feels even anger when he talks to Percy’s mother like if she was his slave or something like that and Gabe always has to say something if his mother wants to tke Percy to a trip he aways thinks abiut the money and if the money is coming out of Percy mother.
Percy’s mother always said the same thing bout Percy’s father that he was a kind man and that he was tall and handsome and powerful and much more. But Percy said I had always assumed he knew me as a baby. Percy felt angry about his father becaue Percy said it was stupid but Percy resented him for going on that ocean voyage for not having the guts to marry his mother. So I think that compare to what Percy’s mother told him about his father I think that Percy don’t believe what shes say until he knows is true and has puff of it.
One Pasipheas son was after Percy. I think the ladies were trying to kill Percy because I also think they are demons too. Ever scince Percy was little something was trying to kill him. First it was a snake then a thing that was stalking him at the park. Everything wants to kill him. I think Mrs. Dodds is a demon, or one of Hades minions. If I were to give Percy advice I would have told him to just do what his mother had told, because the thing had horrible hearing and sight. So when the Percy was far enough and the thing was far enough she and Grover would leave the car. But to comfort him about I mothers lose I would tell him that everything is going to be fine and that his mother is probably watching over him every step he took.

One thing that was after Percy was the big monster named the wolf man. That was the thing after Percy. I think they wanted to kill him because they know that the wolf man was going to get them that day. That’s why I think they would want to kill them. The person I think Mrs. Dodd’s was the math teacher that they had for the last 3 months. That’s who I think Mrs. Dodd’s was.
In chapter 3, a huge monster was chasing him and his family. He is really tall, hairy, has horns and is ready to kill Percy Jackson. Before, Gover told him who he was, they saw 3 ladies knitting 2 huge socks. The ladies wanted to kill Percy. The reason I say that is because they were staring at him in a weird way. His teacher Mrs. Dodds wanted to kill him to. But instead hi ended up killing her with a sword that Mr. Brunner throw him.
ReplyDeleteA Minotaur in chapter 4 is chasing Percy. He is trying to get to the camp his father wanted him to go to. He also finds out Grover is actually a satyr. Grover tells him that the three old ladies were actually fates saying someone is going to die. Grover also says they call people like Mrs. Dodds kindly ones.
ReplyDeleteThe car swerves out of control. Everyone gets out but they had to carry Grover by the shoulders. The evil Minotaur ends up in a battle after he kills Percy’s mom. Percy beats the Minotaur. Then he carries Grover to camp. After that he ends up unconscious.
What I think is after Percy it was monster Percy was limbs burned because the same rush of energy he got was he same when Ms.Dodds grew talons . Percy had an idea he put his back to the big pine tree and waved his red jacket in front of the bull-man thinking he would jumped out of the way at the last moment. I think that the ladies knitting wanted to kill Percy because I think that is a fight between monsters to go after Percy because maybe Percy is not so smart I think that they want Percy to joy in their groups so that they would become stronger. I think that Ms.Dodds was really a monster going after Percy.

The advice I would give Percy is that “ your mom believes in you to live and succeed in your mission” and if you love some one they will always be placed somewhere special in your heart.

Which I think think because Ms. Dodd’s was described to be an old lady with a leather jacket and I think they have something to do with Ms. Dodd’s since there old. 3) I think Ms. Dodd’s was really some evil sprit wanting to kill Percy.
The evil demon that was after Percy was a Minotaur. A minotaur is a half man half bull. I think that the ladies that were knitting the yarn wanted to kill Percy because he was in the 6th grade. Grover said ”they always go to the sixth grade”. I think mrs. Dodds mustve have been just as the minotaur because they were after Percy.

The thing that was chasing Percy was a bull-like creature that could run twice as fast as a normal human. I think the ladies knitting wanted to kill Percy, because his mother said that they weren’t old ladies they were fates, and when they appear in front of you it means you’re about to die. I think Mrs. Dodds was one of the monsters that Grover kept talking about it the car. I would give Percy the advice of not giving up and trying his hardest to make sure that nothing happens to him or Grover. I say that because Grover is currently the only thing that Percy has a guide through his new found ‘life’.

ReplyDeleteI think that Percy and his mom’s relationship is wounderful, even though Percy is always getting in trouble. Then there is Gabe. He and Percy don’t get along as well as some people might think. There like cats and dogs, always fussing about something. Percy thinks his father is the bad guy in this story. One thing Percy did believe was when she said that neither his father nor him was human, also that his father left before he was born. While they were finished talking about the truth Grover had s a truth to spill to. He was half-blood too. His real identity was a goat!!!!!
The creature chasing after Percy is “The lord of the dead”. He is one of the beasts who are supposed to chase after him. The ladies that were knitting wanted to kill Percy because they were another beast that didn’t look like one. They were like Mrs.Dodds. I think Mrs.Dodds was another witch was trying to kill him as well.

The last thing I would tell Percy is you have to understand what is going on know and it might not be easy but you got to get your self together to do what you have to do. ReplyDeleteIn chapter four Percy, Grover and his mother are being chased by an almost imaginary looking beast. The beast looked like a huge extremely muscular man that has the head of a bull the legs of a bull and long pointed horns. Percy eventually fingered out who the beast was. It was Pasiphea’s son.
ReplyDeleteTwo chapters ago Percy sees a rather strange thing on the side if the road when he sees three old women knitting a huge sock. Then Grover very nervously says to Percy “Tell me they are not looking at you” and tells him to get back on the bus”. I think that the ladies wanted to kill Percy because they know he is a half blood and that there is something special about him. That is what I think Mrs. Dodds wanted to kill him for and I think she was some she demon that was there to kill Percy from the start. She was really close.

ReplyDeleteIn chapter 3 Percy Jackson had a really good relationship with his mother. I know because, in chapter 3 Percy went home and him and his mom were going on a trip to Montauk beach. Percy was very excited that they were going to Montauk beach just him and his mom. That was their special place. But when it comes to tell everything he doesn’t tell about the ladies knitting or Ms. Dodds. Then they were having a great time until Percy asked about his birth dad. I think Percy and his mom have a really good relationship.
Next is what Percy thinks of his stepfather. I think Percy hates is stepfather because, he called him smelly Gabe [page 30]. Also when Gabe wanted Percy to say sorry to him just for a little poker game. Then when Percy was sitting on the bed he said,” maybe if I kick you in your soft spot and makes you sing soprano for a week.” That sounds to me that he really hate his stepfather very very much. Also Percy made the screen door hit Gabe in the butt and made him fly up the stairs. But Percy had no idea how he did that. That’s what I think Percy thinks about his stepfather.
The last thing is Grover turning into a boy/goat. When Grover comes the see Percy he had hoofs. Not feet also his legs were full of fur. Not regular human skin with small black hair. Then Percy understands stood the disease in Grover’s leg. It wasn’t really a disease it was his hoofs stuffed into humans fake foot. At first no one know the secret about Grover but now they know.

The monsters that Hades was sending was after him for the lightning bolt and also to kill him. I think they wanted to kill them because Hades sent them to kill them, also when they snipped I think that was a sign that they were going to kill him. I think Mrs. Dodds was one those three sisters who tried to kill him.
